TECHARENA and MiCA

Back in Norway after another exciting week in Stockholm!
TechArena (or AI-Arena?) was packed with AI innovation, but amidst all the AI discussions, there were also great examples of how blockchain technology can be leveraged. One standout was GS1 Sweden, which uses blockchain for digital product passports. This was illustrated through their collaboration with Filippa K, where scanning a QR code on their products provides access to detailed supply chain information - showing exactly where the wool in your new sweater originates. This enhances trust in supply chain data and empowers consumers with transparency.
Steven Bartlett closed TechArena with some inspiring words, sharing his own (not-so-successful) experience with blockchain through an overpriced NFT investment. Fortunately, blockchain offers so much more than speculative, high-risk investments. While that particular venture wasn’t ideal, Bartlett excels in many other areas and reminded us all of the importance of gratitude - sometimes, we just need to pause and appreciate where we are. A valuable mindset for both business and life.
But Stockholm wouldn’t be complete without some MiCA discussions as well! A big thank you to Blockchain Sweden and Bird & Bird for hosting, and to Pehr Granfalk (Blockchain Sweden), Magnus Jones, Emelie Moritz (Safello), Tommy Andorff (Neuro), Johannes Wirtz, LL.M. (London) Wirtz (Bird&Bird), Eleonora Pavliouk (Bird&Bird), and everyone else who contributed to insightful discussions.
Dr. Sven Hildebrandt was also present, ready to support those in need of help with ESG-disclosures.
Looking forward to continuing these discussions and seeing how both blockchain and AI evolve!
